I'm telling my story for my children, grandchildren and future generations in honour of those who came before them. You can always replace things but not people. When loved ones are gone, you only have your memories of them. These are my memories, to share with you.
Being privy to this most personal and moving insight into the atrocities committed against
Jews during the Second World War revealed to me a poignant truth - that while everyone who survived the war had a unique experience, they all have incredible courage and luck in common. Helen Staub is no exception, thank God. It has indeed been an honour to be involved in the telling of her story.
