Shipping
We deliver our products across Australia and New Zealand, and most international countries.
Our delivery rates are based on the weight of the products you order and Australia Post's shipping rates. The best way to calculate shipping costs for your order will be to add products to your cart, proceed to checkout and enter your address.
We offer Regular and Express Post options for both domestic and international shipping. These are offered via the Australia Post delivery service.
Returns and exchanges
The Museum Shop will happily assist customers who wish to return or exchange goods purchased from our Shop or online.
Our Returns and Exchanges policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
If your purchase is being send out as a gift, we are happy to retain a record of purchase on your behalf to offer the recipient a returns opportunity.
If you have changed your mind about a purchase, the Museum Shop will offer a gift card, exchange, store credit or refund at our discretion, to the amount of the item(s) at the time of purchase, provided that:
· Items are returned within thirty (30) days of the time of receipt of goods;
· You have proof of purchase; and
· Items are in original, unopened and undamaged packaging.
Please note returns or exchanges do not include return postage unless the item is deemed not fit for purpose.
If in the unfortunate event your item arrives faulty, damaged or incorrectly shipped, please contact us on (02) 9360 7999 or alternatively email shop@sjm.com.au within thirty (30) days of receipt of goods.
We recommend insurance for valuable items and are happy to quote an adjustment to your order.
If your item arrives in a damaged condition and you think an insurance claim is appropriate please retain all packing materials. Send photographs and a full description to shop@sjm.com.au
Should your item be deemed faulty, damaged or incorrectly shipped the Museum Shop will provide a gift card, exchange, store credit or refund.
Refunds will be processed according to your original method of payment.
If you believe your item is faulty after the thirty (30) day time criteria, the Museum Shop may require you to send the item back at your expense for assessment.
Please chose carefully as we do not offer exchange or refund for change of mind on Gift Cards.
Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash.
Gift vouchers are valid from time of issue for three years or as required by Australian Consumer Law.
The following products have a ‘no returns’ policy:
- mezuzah parchments
- monogrammed or personalised items
Payment
The Sydney Jewish Museum takes every precaution to ensure secure online transactions. All submitted credit card details are encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, a trusted industry standard for protecting sensitive information.
Taxes, duty and tariffs
Depending on your parcel destination, you may be required to pay import taxes, duty or tariffs applicable to your country or state.
Any fees or duties are the responsibility of you, the recipient and cannot be reimbursed by Sydney Jewish Museum.
Products and inventory
If an item is temporarily sold out and more stock is coming soon, we will contact you for instruction prior to processing your order.
