Silver plated Chanukiah. The chanukiah is the menorah used to hold the eight candles of Chanukah. this festival recalls the Maccabees' successful revolt against the Syrians in 165 BCE. When they reclaimed the Temple, the menorah's candles burned for eight days even though there was only enough oil for one.
