George’s Story – Megan Wynne-Jones

Megan Wynne-Jones, a personal historian conducted a series of interviews, and complied the information of George Winston.

This booklet is filled with old photographs and gripping first-hand accounts of his experience through two world wars. He would travel to different countries, from his home town in Polish city of Lwow (now Ukraine). Fleeing from the Nazi occupation to Romania, then British Mandate of Palestine, Paris and then to Australia when he was only 16.
