This is what happened to Sarah when war came to her village. Until that day her life had been safe, happy and filled with love. But from that moment on, everything changed. She was forced to run and hide in the forest, her only home a hole in the ground, nuts and berries her only food, wild creatures her only companions.

This is the story of how Sarah learned not only to survive, but to fight back at the horrors that surrounded her. Although it is the story of only one child, it is written in memory of thousands like her who have been the innocent victims of war.

About the author:

Yoram Jerzy Gross AM (18 October 1926 – 21 September 2015) was a Polish-Australian filmmaker.
